-price of gas continues to go up and down, in effect making the people of Guam hostages when having to decide what is more important to pay, food for their families or paying outrageous prices for gasoline or paying bills. How can we be satisfied sitting in our offices while mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grand parents have to make judgement calls on what is the bigger priority? GAS or FOOD? It is disgusting..YET the very same gas companies that increase gas prices OFFER FREE GAS TO SPEND MORE AT THEIR STORES ><
-leaders continue to travel off island (sometimes for good reasons, other times for reasons that can barely be understood..Olympics?)
-corporations and big businesses continue to make millions of dollars in profit each year and need not worry about paying taxes
-foreign workers continue to be hired to fill local vacancies (once again in order to save money and to see profits).
-pushing for the buildup at any and all costs (with little to regard to the protection of Guam's fragile culture, heritage, customs and traditions, and natural environment) to make the RICH RICHER and the poor, well....poorer.
Laws need to be enacted that would prohibit individuals with close ties to corporations or businesses from being able to run for political office (CONFLICT OF INTEREST), but that ain't ever going to happen.
Sometimes our elected officials need to be asked one simple question, "WHO ARE YOU SERVING?"
